As An Atheist I Like To Have The Same Rights As Everyone Else

 I am an American Atheist.

If I post something Atheist related anywhere, I get attacked on my beliefs and told how wrong and disrespectful I am by the believers.

When their multibillion dollar business (churches, mosques, temples, ext.) can advertize their faith. Be politically active. Under the belief of their followers influence lawmaking. Attack science and influence what should be thought in schools. Publicly advocating racism, and all this without even paying their fair share of taxes, and yet I am an offensive person for using my first amendment right to express my rational thoughts in a civilized manor.

I am always asked to show respect for other beliefs but my own is not respected.

What amazes me more than anything else is in no other subject a critical opinion is considered disrespect but religion. If I am doing something wrong I would like to know so I can fix it. It would be disrespecting my fellow humans to see a problem and and not act about it. Bare in mind I am not advocating any of the things above which organize religion does. I simply like to have the same rights as others. Not just legally which I am so lucky to be in a country that gives me the rights, but socially as well.
